This a quick post to show my favorite book ever! It's finally here. I have been waiting since March 2015 for this book. It's so gorgeous and it's also my favorite color. All of my illustrated editions of the Harry Potter books are going to look great together. 

Also some other great news. The Percy Jackson series is going to be published in illustrated editions. What a great day.

GENERAL Questions:

1.)  Favorite book?
     - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

2.)  Least favorite book?
               -So I am cheating with this but it does say the eighth book on it so ha. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I actually did like this but it was definitely not as good as the others.

3.) Favorite movie?
               -Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

4.)  Least favorite movie? 
               -Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This movie is my least favorite because they cut out so much and ugh I just don't like it.

5.)  Favorite quote?
 "You're not a bad person. You're a very good person, who bad things have happened to. Besides, the world isn't split into good people and Death Eaters. We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are." -Sirius Black

CHARACTERS Questions:

6.) Favorite Weasley?
             -George and Fred. Yep I'm not picking one. They are the funniest in the series and I just adore them so much.

7.) Favorite female character?
              -Professor McGonagall. She is just so sarcastic and wonderful. I would love her to be my professor. "Have a biscuit, Potter."

8.) Favorite villain?
              -Lucius Malfoy, he is so stuck up in himself and it is enjoyable seeing what he becomes. Also, I love him in the movies.

9.) Favorite male character?
              -Sirius, he's my favorite character in the series. I just adore him and his relationship with Harry.

10.) Favorite professor?
              -Lupin, he was definitely one of the best professors that Harry had. His Defense Against the Dark Arts Class looked so interesting and thoroughly enjoyable. Though Professor McGonagall was also really awesome. Oh my gosh and Hagrid. He was so sweet the whole time and I always wanted to be in his classes even if I could have got hurt. Also, he always tried so hard to make the classes interesting and worthwhile.

WOULD YOU RATHER Questions:

11.) A. Wash Snape's hair, or B. Spend a day listening to Lockhart rant about himself?:
             -This would easily be A. I don't think I would be able to take an hour of Lockhart. He is so annoying.

12.) Duel    A. an elated Bellatrix, or B. an angry Molly
            -Probably A. Bellatrix but I believe either way I would die quickly. But an angry Molly scares me.

13.) Travel to Hogwarts via A. Hogwarts Express or B. flying car.
            -A. Hogwarts Express. This would be so amazing.

14.) A. Kiss Voldemort. Or B give Umbridge a bubble bath.
             -I guess give Umbridge a bubble bath because I would be scared to death to kiss Voldemort. If I could not have to hear her talk.

15.) A. Ride a Hippogriff. or B. Ride a Firebolt
             -If I knew I was not going to fall off I would probably ride the Firebolt but I am very afraid of heights.

BOOK TO MOVIE ADAPTATION Questions:
16.) Is there a character which you felt differently about in the movies vs. books?
           -I really liked Ginny's character in the book but then in the movies, they never showed her great characteristics. I really did not like her movie counterpoint.
            -Tonks
            -Lupin
            -Ron

17.) Is there a movie you preferred instead of the book?
           -Nope.

18.) Richard Harris or Michael Gambon as Dumbledore?
          -This is hard because we hardly saw Harris but I really do believe that he fit Dumbledore's character a little more than Gambon. I am not one of the people that hate Gambon but I believe that Harris fit the role absolutely perfectly. I like Gambon a lot.

19.) Your top thing (person or event) which wasn't included in the movie that annoyed you the most?

Watch out Harry! You may get a piece on you.

           -What a question. So I have plenty of these though one stands out the most. One of my absolute favorite scenes in the Deathly Hallows is the battle between Harry and
Voldemort at the end of the book. I hated the changes that they made to this scene. It was in the movie but they fought completely by themselves for most of it and it was not even close to how powerful it was in the book. I remember when I had first read that book and being so excited to see that scene play out in the movie. They made Voldemort explode into a million little pieces and I just hated it so much. The fact that in the book he died as anyone would have was powerful. He had thought that he was remarkable and the best but then he died like everyone else. I think that that is much more powerful of a scene than the scene in the movie. I do really like that movie mostly but that bothers me so much.

So much better.

          -SPEW being gone
          -Peeves
          -Prefect story line
 And I could go on and on.

20.) If you could remake any of the Potter movies, which would it be?
          - Probably the eighth movie or maybe even the fifth.

HOGWARTS Questions:

21.) Which house was your first gut feeling you'd be a part of?
          -Gryffindor when I was a child but as I got older I wanted to be a Ravenclaw.

22.) Which house were you actually sorted into on Pottermore (or another online sorting quiz)?
          -Ravenclaw on everyone I have ever taken. I guess I was right.

23.) Which class would be your favorite?
          -I think that Charms would be neat. I love the spells that they learned in Charms. Also, Fitwick would be such a cool professor. If Lupin was teaching, Defense Against the Dark Arts. I would love his class.

24.) Which spell do you think would be most useful to learn?
           -Accio, I have wanted to use this so many times. I sometimes will even say it when I want get something easily. It would make life easier.

25.) Which character do you think at Hogwarts you'd instantly become best friends with?
          -Probably Hermione or Lupin. I could hang out in the library with them.

MISCELLANEOUS Questions:

26.) If you could own one of the three Hallows, which would it be?
           -The cloak

27.) Is there any aspect of the books you'd want to change? This can be a character, any event, or anything?
             -No

28.) Favorite marauder?
            -Sirius, but I really do love Lupin also.

29.) If you could bring one character back to life, which would it be?
            - Fred so George doesn't lose his twin. There are so many I would bring back.

30.) Hallows or horcruxes?
            -Hallows, I'm no murderer.

6.) The Odyssey by Homer: I added this extra book because I did not want to leave it out. Odysseus is someone that uses his intelligence in every action that he takes. He is known for his wit and how well he can speak. He is a character that I believe would be a Ravenclaw though he does make some mistakes throughout his tale. His intelligence is what eventually gets him home to his family.

5.) Any of the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett but I will stick with the first book for this, The Colour of Magic: Like I said I believe that any of Terry Pratchett's books could fit for this category because of the wit that he writes with. Ravenclaw students, I believe would enjoy Terry Pratchett's dry humor and find the characters interesting. Also most of the characters within the series are highly intelligent. This fantasy series is one of the best though I am going to say that it might not be for everybody. Terry Pratchett wrote with so much intelligence and creativity that I cannot help but admire him. He was an incredible author and a great person period.

4.) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams: This novel has a witty type humor that I believe any fellow Ravenclaw would enjoy and love. It is part of a longer Science fiction series of books created by Adams. This is another novel centered around this humor that may not make sense or seem funny to some people. It is a type of humor that is dry similarly to Terry Pratchett's books, in other words British humor. The story is also complex and again highly intelligent.

3.) A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle: A mixture of Science fiction/fantasy story for children that I cannot recommend enough. Multiple characters in this novel and the series as a whole, I believe would be in the Ravenclaw house. This book and series are highly intelligent and are just wonders of literature. This is another series that I am going to have to pick up again and reread because I have not read it since I was a child. Meg, Charles, and Calvin are all highly intellectual children (Charles is just five years old and is a child prodigy) that I believe would be the perfect characters for a Ravenclaw to read. They are definitely some of the best characters in all of literature. The best part of the story is that it is not just a story that children can enjoy.

2.) Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll: This book I feel also fits in with Ravenclaws because of the witty jokes throughout the book. Lewis Carroll has a lot of social commentary in this novel and also a lot of other humor that makes jokes using intelligent content. I just really love his creativity in this and I think it fits the idea of our Hogwarts house perfectly.

1.) Matilda by Roald Dahl: This was the book that I first thought of when I saw this Top 5 Wednesday topic. Matilda to me is the quintessential Ravenclaw character in a book. She is another highly intelligent child who gained this intelligence through reading. I remember looking up to her when I was very young and loving this novel so much. She was one of my all time favorite character for so long and I believe that she fully represents every one of the aspects of Ravenclaws. This is another children's book that I feel is for all ages and one that I must reread very soon.
